Very biased “science”
I saw the following review on Amazon last night when looking for books on physics and it was so full of bad religious crazy that I bookmarked it. I wasn’t sure which category to put it under: books, religion, science, wingnuts? I finally opted for wingnuts since it reads a lot like what you see being spewed by Freepers & the like.
Yes, he actually put scare quotes around the word “science”, maybe because he regards it as woo-woo liberal atheist science, not the factual stuff based on the Bible. //
Sean Carroll is a typical atheist physicist who arrogantly disregards creationists to the point where he does not even acknowledge they exist unless prompted (like happened on Coast to Coast AM tonight). The liberal media and filled with money sapping money-obsessed morons, willing to indebt any generation of Americans into becoming slaves. It’s already happened, and Americans in general are all debt slaves because of atheism-theoretical-physics cultists like this, and the idiot atheists who worship delusional morons like this. This man won’t acknowledge theistic scientists let alone creationist ones, and pretends to speak for all scientists. That is arrogant, a delusion of grandeur, bigoted, and “extremist” in the way liberals use it. It’s great he claims that “you can do good science” despite believing in God, as he implied on Coast, but why did he then previously in that same show tonight, not acknowledge the millions of scientists who say the reason the universe exists is because God willed it? This is what happens when you care more about money and having the approval of the world, than having truth. […]
Wait. What in the hell do atheist physicists have to do with American debt? And there are “creationist scientists”? Really? Are those the ones who can “prove” that the Earth is only 6000 years old?
He then rants on about the author ignoring pro-creation arguments that are supposedly “backed up by endless evidence”, how “evidence points towards everything being a living fossil”, how prophecy can be “scientifically analyzed for accuracy”, and how “Atheist-liberal science will always be bad science”. WTF?
He finishes off the first part by whining about his negative Amazon karma:
Update: Oh look, over a 100 liberals and Coast to Coast AM fans and students of Sean have voted this review down. You can’t vote the truth down, reality doesn’t work that way. […]
Reality doesn’t work that way? Sounds to me like reality is a tiny speck in this guy’s rear-view mirror.
He’s not done though. He comes back a few weeks later to quote some Bible verses, talk about Israel and a worldwide holocaust of Gentiles, and, of course, mention Satan. I’m sure that totally caused the atheists to rethink their position, which is one of the reasons that I never miss an opportunity to show contempt for the non-belief of every atheist I meet and quote Qur’anic verses at them non-stop. Beause, y’know, being obnoxious and shoving your opinions down people’s throats has been proven to be an effective way to change their minds. Proven by whom? SHUT UP, THAT’S WHO!!11! //
Anyway, he finally concludes by whining some more about his growing negative karma, then proceeds to *yawn* as if he doesn’t care. Yeah, uh-huh.
There are 100+ comments on his review—some of them are ROFL funny.
I’m not even sure why I posted this. I guess because I figured you guys would be able to appreciate the absurdity of his “logic” and how impervious to reason some of these people are. I know because I lived with it as a teenager. *shudder*
