DuraGold —pfft!

Sadly, a lot of what is cheap is still cheaply made. A lot of what is advertised is still not pure gold. I see a lot of “gold enhanced” or “gold overlay” in the fine print.

Like this. “gold flashed” over sterling. Will tarnish.

I’m a gold snob, I know.

Gold is well out of my Christmas budget but I have to say, that is a beautiful pendant.

I love a smart shopper.

I don’t care how cheap gold is. I’d have to sell three kidneys and a couple of lungs to be able to afford that pendant. Maybe my liver, too, since I wouldn’t be needing it any more.

How about $89.99? it’s not that Kretchmer piece, but it’s gold, under a hundred bucks, and pretty as can be… Last year there was about nothing for less that $200 in 14k.

Diamond-cut looks so cheesy, IMHO.

Save up your money for 18K solid gold with a stamp on it that assures resale. Tiffany’s is my choice, but Cartier works well, Harry Winston, Charriol, Roberto Coin, old Jose Hess. … .

It’s only worth what you can get for it on eBay.

Ah but that is the cool thing. Gold gets you from $89 on up. It’s not just for ultra high budget. That purple pendant I did would go for 3k or more. AFAIK the more the merrier. $89 gold beats $89 most anything else.

true!

But would it sell for anything but scrap?
