Horrible as that maybe it pales, in comparison to the enslavement and systematic mass murder of the Holocaust. That said I don’t mean to belittle any innocent people who were there, or the horrible thing that happened to them. I can imagine that being something that most Israelis wish they could forget. certainly not something they should be proud of.

A memorial to any innocent people who were killed in the massacre would be a nice gesture.

To be fair through there was a war going on, and it doesn’t sound like the Israeli military meant to exterminate the entire village. Also at the time not everyone in the village was an innocent civilian. Hostiles Forces had tried to set up camp in Deir Yassin. Again, what happened was tragic, but it was nothing like the Holocaust.
