In Houston, the City Council overwhelmingly voted to rein in these bastards, and Mayor Annise Parker enthusiastically signed it into law. These vultures prey on the desperate, charging interest rates that make it near impossible for the borrower to escape. Governor Perry, you are a piece of shit. Yeah, I said it.

They are the lowest of the low. One chain had Troy Aikman and Hulk Hogan praising the virtues of “You don’t need no Credit!” Cowboys and Rasslers. Whoo Hoo. Vultures are too kind a word. Been around forever but now they are mainstream, everywhere, and considered normal. Flocks to be fleeced.

No Credit? Bad Credit? Bankrupt? On the Lam? Dead? Come On In!

More bold “maverickin’” from the Lone Star State.

Mayor Tom Hayden of Flower Mound, Texas, made an official announcement Wednesday, issuing a proclamation that 2014 would be the Year Of The Bible, so that the city will be all Bible-y. It is a pretty bold move for a suburban mayor in a Texas town with a ton of churches, but maybe, by golly, it’s time for him to stand up and take the risk of saying something that would likely be completely satisfactory to his conservative, affluent constituents, no matter how much praise he might get for his courage in endorsing the religious views of the overwhelming majority. It’s good to see a mayor willing to do the easy thing, isn’t it?

“Additionally, the man Perry appointed to oversee Texas’ consumer watchdog, William White, is also vice president of payday lender Cash America. The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau recently fined the company $19 million.”

Is Perry trolling Obama or is he really so corrupt that he thinks having the fox guard the hen house is actually a good idea?

I would bet on the “corrupt” and thinking the Rubes will never see it. “Here, take a catalog!” How many heartbeats was he from nomination? Then he opened his mouth. On National TV. Repeatedly. But back in the Hood, well. Rick be Rick as Rick is. Slightly rancid and corrupt. Yep. He gets at least coupons for this shit. That’s my summation.

But he supports Family Values, personal initiative and rugged individualism. While wearing Heath Ledger cowboy jacket. What else does the state need?
