The typically insightful comments on the LA Times website, in order.

Move to the San Juan Islands in WA. We have water.

California should draft legislation requiring each new illegal immigrant to bring one gallon of water from Mexico with them to help replenish the lake. The wildlife may initially experience dysentery coupled with extreme vomiting, but it’s for the greater good…

When the high pressure system moves off the coast of California we’ll get lots of rain. Then the Government/LAT will scurry off and find some other tax fleecing scheme. In the meantime, do the Indian rain dance.

We live in a country of total idiots.

John has a plan, but I’m missing how it helps us get more water.

I’d rather deport the people who don’t belong, reneg on debt that can’t ever be paid, and build more power plants. I don’t care how “fair” it is, we should be acting in our own best interests. There are millions of people in this state who don’t belong here, don’t contribute a dime, and who run up huge bills in welfare, health care, education, etc. Let’s start getting rid of them. Not a US citizen? Bye-bye. On welfare? You’re done. You’re a weepy liberal who loves welfare and hates work? We don’t need you.

Let’s start seeing real progress, instead of the Luddite anti-progress of the left.

On the other hand, Timothy says

Howdy Folks, If we want to end this drought we should repent and put an end to abortion ,same sex marriages, secularism and many other sins the residents of California are doing. We are breaking God’s laws. The Bishops want us to all pray and thats great advice. Lets all pray and put a end to all the sins that are offending God and I’m certain the drought will end. Thank You, Timothy.

Pardon me while I recheck my calendar to see what century this is. I must have managed to travel 1000 years back in time (it’s nice I get to keep my modern electronics, though I’ll probably be burned at the stake if anyone notices).

Sadly, now the jerks have had two forums they don’t deserve. The .0001% of us that acts like that.

There isn’t one problem that ails California that can’t be solved by rounding up and deporting all the Mexicans

This is what California Republicans actually believe
