When you consider that the “One Million Moms” group is just a front organization for the AFA hate group, who came to the forefront in the 1980s with Donald Wildmon’s ministry organizing book and record burnings, and their close association with domestic terrorists like Eric Rudolph and Scott Roeder, why is this a surprise to anyone?

On the show, this TV (ordinary straight parents) family has several kids, including a 5-year-old. A lesbian couple MADE A GUEST APPEARANCE on the show. So the 5-year-old gets death threats.

There aren’t enough WTFs for this. I just hope the 5-year-old is being kept in the dark about all this crap.

I’ll probably get downdings for this but…

When someone goes on a Rhino hunt and gets death threats the standard response is that they should expect it. “That is how the internet works and you shouldn’t take it too seriously” seems to be the standard refrain.

Right wingers who become publicly visible because of their unpopular stance on certain issues have made a cottage industry out of publishing all the death threats they receive in order to get their base riled up.

Meanwhile our usual response is a yawn or perhaps someone will make a post attributing the threat to “some total nutjob” who of course is “No true Scotsman Liberal.”

I guess what I am saying is that if you are so readily willing to dismiss threats of violence over the internet against people that you dislike. Then maybe you shouldn’t complain so loudly when it happens to someone who manages to tug at your heartstrings.

There are two important differences:
1) She’s a 5-year-old
2) having gay characters on your show (especially when you’re not in charge of the writing) isn’t a bad thing.

Edit: But I don’t see any proof that the death threats are over the gay characters. I’m sure that even a deranged homophobe would realize that a 5-year-old actor isn’t in charge of this and probably doesn’t even check her own instagram.

Or are you saying that I’m just selective of which death threats upset me?

Well, there is a simple reason I get more upset over one threat than another. Its called “being not omniscient.” There will always be something I should get pissed about but haven’t heard about it. Thats to say nothing about horrible things happening so frequently with no end in sight **coughsyriacough** that my mind eventually becomes callous to it.

Besides, if you’re seriously saying I shouldn’t get so mad about a 5 y/o being threatened because I didn’t get as mad over an adult being threatened, then you deserve the down-dings.

I don’t care who is left, right, up, down, in, out, shake-it-all-about. People who think its cool to make death threats over not liking something can f*** right off.

Are you ignoring the fact that a 5 year old girl was threatened here for a decision she had nothing to do with? If that makes me “selective” over death threats, then so be it, yes some are worse than others. I personally find it pathetic that people resort to death threats regardless of the situation but this one takes the cake since this is a 5 year old girl.
