GOP, you courted and nurtured these freaks, and now they are taking over your party. You promised them a culture war so you could get enough votes to cut taxes for the rich, and they aren’t about to meekly go away just because you want to rebrand. Own it.

And Gerald Ford in his grave wondered “How the hell did many party get worse on this issue” in the year I would be 101 years old. It’s honestly sad to me how the GOP has grown more and more anti-gay. I remember seeing ads for Mitt Romney when he ran against Ted Kennedy in ‘94 trying to out lefty Teddy on LGBT issues. My former Congressman, Tom Davis was a pretty pro-gay rights Republican too. Hey GOP it’s time to join the present.

Enough with the turning over, Barry Goldwater is liable to rise from the grave, retrieve an F-111 from its own conveniently nearby graveyard, and fly to Michigan to slap some sense into these nutcases.
