Want to decrease demand? Put a sign in front of gun stores saying, “$5 from every box of shells goes to supporting Obama’s third term.”

The NRA should put up a statute of Obama at their headquarters; he is the greatest salesman of firearms and ammunition to private citizens in human history.

That would only decrease demand at that store. Shoppers would increase their purchases from other stores in order to prepare for the coming apocalypse.

A friend of mine told me he would go to the bass pro-ish shop (I am not sure which one he was really talking about) and there were never ever any bullets for sale. The reason was someone showed up every morning from 4:00 a.m. onward, from a group, and waited for the delivery to come, and then would buy every box immediately. This group single-handedly controlled the ammunition supply for the store, re-selling it online for 3x the price, according to my friend.

If I gave a ripe shit about it, I would say the gun community might want to , ahem, start policing itself or it’s just going to get uglier and more expensive, but then I think good. Anything to waste those idiots’ money. But, this is what it is all about, it’s a giant flaming bundle of anxiety and paranoia and it is feeding itself and eating itself. One day, I imagine people who are serious about it as a hobby (and not swaggering pissants with chips on their shoulders) will try to regain some kind of sanity and maybe pass a law limiting how much ammo you can hoard at once, but until then I guess it is super-expensive to play with explody toys. Not sure I give a damn.

You don’t need a law to solve your local problem. What is needed is for other customers to complain loudly enough and threaten to take their other business elsewhere such that the Bass Pro Shop places limits on how much ammo that group can buy.

No shit sherlock!

How long ago was it that the NRA types were complaing that Obama bought all the ammo?

NRA seems a bit two-faced in this -no?

Getting closer to the election and all the sudden all the conservative outlets are becoming more “reasonable”. Remember this?

re: #6 Dark_Falcon

I already know how this works

Minimum Wage Employee: I’m sorry, store policy says you can only buy X# boxes of ammo per day.
Gun-Fucker: An Obammer executive order right?11!
MWE: No, we want ALL our customers to have a chance to buy some
Gun-Fucker: Benghazi! NSA!
MWE: I don’t get paid enough for this
Gun-fucker: Grumbles and leaves (after calling the store manager, district manager, and Congress)

MWE: Dude, we know its you, take off the groucho nose
GF: Benghazi!
MWE: I REALLY don’t get paid enough for this.

If your obsession is obsessive enough no amount is enough. As far as buying to resell, why didn’t I think of that? When did dumb and gullible along with ignorant and bigoted become attractive? I really do think it is a sickness and the people who line up to lap up the piss from the loons are selfish petty assholes. I have a few of them as neighbors, and it is fucking amazing what they come up with. The following is a snapshot and NOT made up. Welfare is bad, Whoops, my step son needs help. Well, it’s bad when you take advantage of it. (tick) The Democrats are evil and they want to give money to people who don’t deserve it, and they shouldn’t get paid that much anyway. As they sit and collect their teachers pension. (tick tick) These kids today are bad. They are lazy and want everything handed to them. Says the man who abandoned his wife and child years ago and did so much coke he supported a small village in Columbia. (tick tick tick.) I’m tired of paying my tax dollars to people who don’t work and we need to secede from the federal government…. Says the man who has been on DISABILITY 35 FREAKING YEARS. (boom) And he hunts. And fishes, in boats. And travels.
It’s a sickness.

NRA knows they get a ton of money when their membership is scared. It’s not rocket science to observe that NRA paranoia is always highest during Democratic administration whether that was Clinton or now Obama.
