Ted Cruz is a True Conservative™ and that means he is also a True American™.

He don’t need no stinkin’ birth certificate.

I’m no birther, but I am a lawyer, and while its true the Supreme Court hasn’t decided whether anyone was a natural-born citizen in the context of a presidential election, it did delve deeply into the issue of natural-born citizenship in U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark, concerning the citizenship of a man who was born in the US and was ethnically Chinese. I wouldn’t want anyone to take my word for it, the case is a very interesting read if you can slog through the 19th century legal prose, but what it boils down to is that under British common law, adopted by the United States, a natural-born subject (or in the US case, citizen), is with few exceptions a person born within the nation’s territory, regardless of the citizenship of the child’s parents. Ted Cruz was born Canadian; his US citizenship derives from an act of Congress exercising its naturalization power, thus he is not natural-born. Having said all that, the more important point is that it doesn’t matter legally, because the court’s don’t have the authority to overrule the Electoral College and Congress in determining who the President should be; it is a political issue which Cruz’s opponents can raise. The constitutional authority to determine who the President should be rests entirely in the hands of the electors and Congress; they could elect someone clearly ineligible, such as Schwarzenegger, and the Court has no authority to prevent it.

It must be nice to have so much $$$ to throw away on candidates who will never get remotely close to being the President of these United States.

Trump backed candidate dubyah Bush, then threw him under the bus after he turned out to be failure.

Trump backed candidate Obama, then threw him under the bus after President Obama didn’t buy him a pony and kiss his ring.

Ted Cruz…..you’re next.

Donald Trump has declared bankruptcy FIVE times. Yet he still has money to throw at clowns. Go figure.

$5000 bucks. Woo-hoo.

And he probably got that by browbeating his executives into contributing the whole amount out of their fortunes.

I’ve never known Trump to pay for anything as long as there’s another sucker in the room.
