Russ Campbell’s Blog: Ghosts of Elections Past: McGuinty, Harris and Rae
In the 41-day camÂpaign that will culÂmiÂnate with a June 12 OnÂtario genÂeral elecÂtion, look for three names to feaÂture promiÂnently: McGuinty, HarÂris and Rae.
The New DeÂmocÂrats and ProÂgresÂsive ConÂserÂvÂaÂtives will try their best to tie LibÂeral leader KathÂleen Wynne to her forÂmer boss DalÂton McGuinty and his scanÂdal-ridÂden adÂminÂisÂtraÂtion.
The LibÂerÂals and the NDP will link PC leader Tim HuÂdak to his forÂmer boss Mike HarÂris and his Quiet RevÂoÂluÂtion. And the Grits and the ToÂries will try to frighten votÂers with the prospect that an AnÂdrea HorÂwath-led adÂminÂisÂtraÂtion at Queen’s Park will be like the one headed by forÂmer NDP preÂmier Bob Rae when he alÂmost bankÂrupted the province.
