Looks like Jim Hoft isn’t the only insensitive jerk in America to try to use those poor kidnapped Nigerian girls to score political points. Allen West has now come out and basically said (without any evidence to back his assertions up of course ) that the only reason people on the left are showing any concern for them at all is to distract us from the “real” issue of Benghazi.

Recently Wingnut Allen West wrote a column on his website where he said “Focus on Boko Haram right now seems fishy to me”

I find it interesting that everyone (including the First Lady) is now all up in arms about Boko Haram and their jihadist actions. After all, we reported on the kidnappings of the girls quite some time ago - this isn’t breaking news. This Islamic terrorist group has a long rap sheet of atrocities, such as burning alive some 50 boys and attacking Christians over these past three to four years on Christmas and Easter.

Yes, liberals “never” condemned atrocities carried out by “Muslim” terrorist organizations before. Also I find it interesting that Allen west who is so worried about the imaginary threat of “creeping sharia,” isn’t thrilled that more people are condemning Boko Haram, given the fact that its a genuine terrorist organization that is officially “Islamic”. I guess his irrational hatred of Obama and the Democrats is just stronger than his irrational hatred and fear of the “Muslim menace.”

So why all the attention now?

Remember the movie with Robert Deniro and Dustin Hoffman called “Wag the Dog?” Funny thing, that film was released just before the Clinton-Lewinsky kabuki dance and the infamous pharmaceutical factory bombing in Sudan by President Clinton (and by the way, Monica is back in the limelight thanks to an article in Vanity Fair - but I digress - or maybe not).

Are we witnessing an Obama “Wag the Dog” moment with Boko Haram in Nigeria? I say yes.

Yeah all this concern for those poor school girls kidnapped by that vile organization is just so Obama doesn’t have to deal with Benghazi. You ought to be ashamed of yourself Mr. West.

Consider all the scandals facing the Obama administration, especially Benghazi and the Select Committee, which Rep. Nancy Pelosi referred to as a “political stunt.” Really? Four Americans die, we’re told it was because of an anti-Islam video, no one has been “brought to justice” and THAT is a phony scandal and a political stunt? Boy, if this had been a Republican president, he or she certainly would never have been reelected because the media would have been all over it. Instead the media is doing everything possible to protect Obama.

Allen continues his rant and several paragraphs down, he says,

So what better time than right now, to create the straw man of Boko Haram, another distraction for which no real action will take place. Anyone remember Joseph Kony?

And by the way, what exactly is happening in Ukraine?

Gotta give it to the Democrats, they know how to make life imitate art. Sadly, as a nation we’re falling for another episode of liberal progressive “Wag the Dog.”

Yeah of course someone like Rebecca Watson “wouldn’t” care about this crime if Obama was a Republican. Lets also ignore the fact that as she pointed out the government of Nigeria was basically saying that the girls taken by Boko Haram had been returned safely to their families, even through they were still missing, just so they wouldn’t have to deal with it.

The Nigerian government is doing less than nothing - at one point they announced that the girls had been found and rescued, but the parents revealed that was a lie. The parents are spending their own money to hire motorcycles and cars to trek into the forest, and coming back empty-handed.

How do 200 girls, and enough soldiers and trucks to carry them off, simply disappear?

One way to help fix this is by raising awareness.

Before people like Watson alerted people around the world to this horrible crime, there was no hope that those girls could ever be rescued. Without the international attention and outcry, Israel would never have offered to help find the children abducted by Boko Haram. Do you think they don’t really care and did it just to distract us from things like Benghazi?

Also how would you feel if someone attacked Benjamin Netanyahu over his offer to help these poor girls? Say some anti Zionist claimed that the Israeli government was only helping Nigeria to save the girls and fight Boko Haram, to distract the rest of the world from the plight of the Palestinians under the occupation? Just think of how insensitive that would be. Just think of how uncaring that person would sound, not to mention bigoted. In fact he would sound a lot like you Mr. West.

Here is a horrible tragedy, and all you’re doing is trying to score political points with it. Off course I wouldn’t expect much better from someone like you.
