I do not understand where this conspiracy theory came from, and with most of ‘em I can. This one seems to be in the vein of “pulled it out of our asses because we hate the Clintons and Obamas”. The people who believe this nutty theory are going to want the Select Committee to look into it and when the committee report rejects it or ignores it (and said report will do one of those two things, since there is no evidence to support it.), those loons will then move on to screaming “SUPPRESSION!!1”.

What I’d like to do to those who say the Benghazi Incident was about gunrunning:

lol - it even denies basic logic - why would the CIA be running guns through troubled, unpredictable Libya, when it lies a sea and several countries away, and considering the fact that the CIA has outposts in turkey, lebanon, jordan, isreal and iraq? all of which are closer, and most of which far more stable than libya.

It’s because the same arms they were running to Syria are the same ones that they gave to the Libyan rebels to defeat Muammar Gaddafi.

They had to get them from the Libyan rebels to give them to the Syrian rebels who are mostly Al Qaeda.

Al Qaeda is our sworn enemy.

It is against the law to give comfort and aid to our enemies.

it should be against the law to butcher logic in that manner, but I digress.

“Hey, we need those arms back, to give them to Syrian rebels.”
“Oh, ok, sure thing, here y’go.”
