AARON BACON - Full Movie
Aaron Bacon, a troubled, 16 year old patient at North Star Expeditions Wilderness Therapy Camp:
Investigators pieced together a horrible tale: of a boy in agonizing pain taunted and accused of fakery, of freezing nights without food and blankets. After Bob and Sally Bacon buried their son, they got one more shock: Theirs was not the first child to die at a wilderness therapy camp.
The film is well worth watching:
Inspired by the book Help at Any Cost by Maia Szalavitz, Aaron Bacon is based on the true story of a troubled 16-year-old boy who dies as a result of physical abuse and starvation in a tough-love, wilderness, drug treatment facility.
In 2009, the film made its world premiere at the Shanghai International Film Festival, where Danny Boyle (Oscar-winning director of Slumdog Millionaire) chaired the international jury.
