The New DeĀmoĀcĀraĀtic Party of OnĀtario seems inĀtent on reĀmakĀing itĀself or, at least, is tryĀing to conĀvince the provinceās votĀers that it has transĀformed into LibĀeral-lite. ReĀcent evĀiĀdence of this is the NDPās latĀest elecĀtion platĀform that leader AnĀdrea HorĀwath unĀveiled ThursĀday.
HorĀwath promised OnĀtarĀiĀans āa betĀter govĀernĀment,ā one that she said āreĀspects their tax dolĀlars.ā Then she went on to anĀnounce a platĀform that could just as well have been preĀpared for a LibĀeral party camĀpaign. In fact, the NDP platĀform reĀsemĀbles the LibĀeral budĀget she reĀjected, begĀging the quesĀtion, why we are even havĀing an elecĀtion if KathĀleen Wynne was doĀing much the same as HorĀwath would have done had she been preĀmier.
