Korean Robot Raptor Breaks Usain Bolt’s Top Speed Record
A new sprinting robot has been developed by researchers from South Korea and it’s so fast that it broke Usain Bolt’s top speed record of 27.44 mph. Researchers at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) have showed the robot running in a video and acquiring maximum speed of 28.5 mph.
However, the robot can only run when attached to a rail. The design of the robot is inspired from a dinosaur, called Velociraptor. The predator was actually a two-legged carnivore that was showed in the kitchen scene in Jurassic Park. The dinosaur runs on two legs that are made up of carbon-fiber prosthetic blades.
