I would not be surprised to see a surge in impeachment talk if the GOP gains control of the Senate, even though they still wouldn’t have enough votes to actually get a conviction and remove the President from office. Though I don’t really expect actual impeachment proceedings, unless Boehner completely loses control of his caucus.

Piss on the GOP assholes. I’m to the point I can’t stand any of them anymore including a couple of my family members that are republicans.

I think they’re going to do it regardless. They have to keep raising the hate level of the base to keep them engaged for 2016.

Randall Gross,

They have no grounds to impeach him and most people on both sides of the Isle know it. Thankfully this impeachment attempt will fail miserably.

Well sane Republicans realize that Base Obama hatred is already at 11 out of 10, and that they have to convince millions of people who aren’t insane with ODS to vote Republican to have any hope of beating Hillary in 2016. Impeachment proceedings just tell those voters that the GOP isn’t serious and can’t be trusted with the reins of power. But there is no doubt that there will be strong teatard pressure on Boehner to allow impeachment proceedings, and he could cave, just like he did when they wanted to shut down the government last year.

With the guy who once called for the GOP not to be the stupid party now calling for a hostile takeover of the government, I’ll be surprised if they don’t try to impeach Hillary Clinton too.

Yeah its all our fault for calling out your team’s dog whistle orchestra that’s been playing its one-note symphony for the past half decade.

They have a great deal of difficulty differentiating between ‘illegal’ and ‘things we do not like’, don’t they?

No, tiresome is the GOP’s steadfast refusal to actually work with the president. Tiresome is the GOP’s refusal to treat women, minorities, and LGTB citizens as anything other than second class citizens. Tiresome is people who pretend “both sides do it.” Tiresome is the fact that the GOP’s strategy appears to be that when they don’t win the presidency, impeach.

Indeed they do. In sober point of fact, the president a simple lie by the president, even about an important matter, is not a crime or an impeachable offense. So even though some of the later “you can keep your doctor” statement Obama made were in my opinion lies, it was not illegal for him to make them.

It’s generally only illegal to lie as part of a commercial product endorsement, to law enforcement, or while being questioned under oath.

Just who is “You people”? Are they like “Them people”? Or more like “Some people”? Spit it out. Don’t be shy. State your case. Air your grievance.

Well, to be fair, it’s been at least a 4-note symphony (blacks, teh gheys, teh muslims, the messicans).

You just don’t realize how obvious your real agenda and motivation is; that is, you seriously overestimate your ability to conceal and deceive. This is no doubt an example of Dunning-Kruger Effect.

Don’t you people ever tire of using the face cards? What’s wrong with leading with, say, the three of clubs?

22 Ryan King  Jun 22, 2014 5:20:12pm

Whining about race card = latent bigot, or at the very least f’ing ignorant, oozing with projection and hypocrisy.

It’s a facile comment meant to imply a person is injecting race into a discussion for no other reason than to derail the conversation or change the subject. When in fact, the person who complains/laments about ‘using the race card’ is doing exactly that: using the ‘using the race card’ card.

I am with you on this (Lady) Bird.
I personally don’t think it’s because he’s black. I think it’s because you people are ignorant, Christian fundamentalist, hateful, ugly hearted, desperate, self righteous, judgmental, un-Christ like, sad, unhealthy, self centered, Religious dominionist’s, unhappy, rage addicted, paranoid, creationist, anti science, violence loving, lying for Jesus, scared, weak, stone throwing, conspiracy loving, drama addicted, naïve, emotional basket cases, unrealistic, brutish, crude, immature, scary, and mean people.

Is that better?

Poison the Well has been the Republican/Tea Party/ Neo-Con Neanderthal strategy ever since Obama was voted into office. It has been effective to a point. It will continue and will continue to harm the US and its interests both domestic and international. And the Republican base couldn’t care less.

All they know is they hate Obama and the 21 Century more than anything else in their existence. Having a weakened, conflicted country is better than letting go of the fantasy-revisioned 1800’s, and admitting those times were far worse than what we have now.

It is usually always far easier to destroy something than to create. Knowing this is the reason why Poison the Well works, and how it is being used effectively by the right wing to reign in and manipulate a fully reliable 25%-35% of the country.
