I didn’t see this coming with recent SCOTUS decisions. Nope. Not one bit. Not even an iota.

For those keeping score, we now have in the USA citizen owned howitzers lobbing shells into houses, armed racist maniacs feeling an aura of supremacy and invincibility, infantile armed groups flaunting weapons inside stores and restaurants, and an overwhelming sense of entitlement amongst those who wish to directly threaten and hate a good chunk of the American population.

In other words, a perfect track record of how NOT to govern a country. This Supreme Court has to be the worst in US history. NO concept at all of real-world you know… Reality.

We’ve pretty much always been allowed to have private howitzers and other artillery pieces—regulatory oversight. Solid shot is OK, explosive rounds run into the laws on destructive devices.

Aw geeze, that’s only about a mile off target with your lead-in! The Supreme Court decided that the 2nd Amendment concerns an individual right and that said right applies to the states. They did NOT rule on Open Carry, of either pistols or rifles, nor has SCOTUS struck down ANY “assault weapons” bans. In the gun case they decided this year they decided in the governments favor as to what actions were to be considered straw-buying a gun.

There are things you can blame the Supreme Court for, but Open Carry Texas is not one of them. But the blame where it belongs, in Texas.

Those dumb bastards are lucky being arrested was all that happened to them.

I wonder how long it’s going to be before there is a private firefight? That is an armed conflict where neither side is law enforcement or armed forces.

Look that was an epic provocative stupid stunt.
But no need to misunderstand then distort the truth of how gun law works. The 2nd being upheld as an individuals right to have a gun by way of self defense and hunting stops way short of stopping any state of the Feds from regulating guns. Just look at the sheer depth and volume of gun laws we do have in most states. Then ponder how many states are involved. Each and ever one of those laws have passed legal muster. The constitutional test of cases over time. It does not say an individual can own a howitzer. The Feds and states do that.

Oh right these two did get arrested. the law did not protect their acts.

Notice all those places where this crap does not happen? California, New York etc.? They have the exact same amendment in force. Hmmm. Seems SCOTUS and the 2nd are coincidence, not cause.

What I got from this story did not really have to do with laws causing the problem, as these yahoo’s were arrested. But the fact I believe violent rhetoric in the mainstream and on the internet makes idiots like this think they are protected. It seemed to me as though they thought they would have legal and public support for doing this or else they would not have taped it and put it on youtube. But, that’s what you get for never venturing any further than Stormfront and vile right wing blogs.

East Price Hill is where I live. These yoo-hoos were filming one block from where I live, and LGF was how I found out about it (I don’t watch Local 12 or other local propatainment outlets). Yikes.

But Storm Front isn’t a terrorist organization. They are doing a public service?????

Just because they look like one walking around with military weapons in public.
