I posted in the past about Todd Starnes from Fox, who I think is, to put it politely, scurrilous. He’s most often to be found reporting about religious issues, and that usually means persecution of Christians, well at least they think so. About as real as the war on Christmas generally.

And then this article appeared by Todd appeared, about the condition of children (illegal aliens), being held at an air force base in Texas. It’s complete with phrases like “the contagion threat” and the alleged security staff refereed to as the “Brown Shirts”. Please do read the article to understand quite what kind of people have been telling Todd stories.

The medical issues these kids are effected by (according to Todd’s sources) include measles, scabies, chicken pox, lice, strep throat, mental and emotional issues. The article’s concern is apparently not for the welfare of children, it’s that these children may spread these diseases to…..Americans.

It was only today when I saw one of the protest signs (saying save our children from diseases) at the Murrieta protests that the article made any sense. It’s little but scaremongering, trying to further demonize illegal immigrants.

I have to say, if there’s any “Brown Shirts” involved, It’s Todd and Fox News.
