Why would anyone be surprised? The same thing happened on a national level after the Reagan and Bush tax cuts.

Nah, they’ll just use it to argue that, because of the deficit, spending needs to be cut. Then they’ll cut taxes again. Never mind that the deficit was because of reduced revenue because of their last tax cut.
