Chopra said the offer is not a joke, and he is looking for a scientific explanation of how an independent thought is formed.

You could make the same offer to believers without ever having to pay up — saying “Jesus did it” or “God did it” doesn’t explain how.
However, with Herman Cain and Michele Bachmann saying that God told me to run for President — well, I’m open to accepting completely irrational reasons as to how an idea is formed. :-)
