Have you thought about going to the other side of the trestles to use them to frame the water?

Haven’t been able to find a path yet & can’t afford to rent a canoe. Still looking though, perhaps I should fire up google earth and see what the most recent sat shots show… hmm… :D

Well it looks like a beautiful subject that you can really work with. That’s such a blessing to have nearby. Some folks to seasonal repeats to show a place in a series of prints one for the peak beauty of each season. Nice work, I must admit I under appreciate that aspect ratio. That’s changing.

Thanks. I enjoy the discipline of working with the square. I do wish there were a digital TLR on days like this… :D My beat up Oly will do, though.

The other thing I’ve found useful over the years is repeatedly returning to a site and trying to find different ways of seeing it. If I were still using film, this would be a great place to try and catch as a thunderhead rolled in with a red filter in place, forex.

Your flame images are always different but a similar circumstance and I imagine provide a similar self discipline.

The seasonal thing is what I’d like to eventually do with it. Four prints, probably arranged in a square of squares ; ) Problem will be finding a digital printer to work with on the project.
