Rumors were flying yesterday that Strelkov/Girkin had been injured. They were denied, of course, by the terrorists, but now he suddenly quits…the third “official” to do so in the past week. Borodai on the 7th, this guy, and today also Valeriy Bolotov, prime minister of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic, announced his resignation due to some injury.

Funny, there were also rumors of a Russian “hit list,” of people to be taken out if things went bad. Strelkov’s name was at the top.

Dead? Jumping ship? Who knows.

Yes, indeed - confusion reigns supreme.

I found this interesting. Without doubt, Strelkov is a major symbol of the Novorossiya separatists; if he’s quit the game ‘cause he’s reckoned it’s game over, that will likely have a serious effect on the morale of the remainder. After all, if he’s saying “Fuck it” why shouldn’t they just throw in the towel as well?

I heard rumors a couple of months ago that some of these chuckleheads tried to cross the border into Russia in the hope of seeking refuge there, and they were - and this is rumor, mind you - promptly mowed down by Russian troops.

I have no idea as to what Strelkov’s ultimate fate will be. But I’m sure it’s not likely to be a pleasant one.
