This is disgusting.

First it is intimated - in the initial press conference by the St. Louis County Chief of Police - that the victim was all drugged up (must. wait. for. tox. report.) , and now the Ferguson Chief of Police is insinuating that the victim robbed someone.

Fuck these cops. Fuck them long and hard. Every one of these assholes should lose their jobs - including the St. Louis County prosecutor who felt the need to speak his views on the situation - and advise the world that there is no way that the dead kid would get any kind of justice if he is involved. They can take their thin blue line and cram it up their lily white asses.

Here’s a tweet about the surveillance video”

I’m not prepared to draw conclusions like the tweeter is yet. It will come out in the investigation.

It’s the drawing of conclusions by proxy via insinuations of guilt that, to me, is not doing any kind of waiting for investigative results.

Regardless of guilt or not regarding the surveillance vid, you have to ask: “does someone really deserve to be shot down in the street for taking a box of cheap cigars?”

The friend Brown was walking with has told his lawyer and the FBI that they had indeed stolen the cigarillos so this is not entirely fabricated by the Ferguson police. That said, such a minor crime is no reason to execute someone. I doubt that the policeman who shot the teen was aware of the robbery. But even if he was he still just gunned him down for no good reason.

That’s just it. You cannot shoot someone whose hands are in the air or are running away from you. That’s not justice. That’s judge, jury and executioner.

Or does someone deserve to get arrested for stealing and strongarming and threatening the clerk as the video from the convenience store clearly shows. Dorian Johnson ought to be able to provide an alternate explanation for the cigarillos he says Brown handed him when the altercation began. If they weren’t from the convenience store robbery they came from another store which will have its own video showing the purchase. I notice the tweet dismissing the video captures has disappeared. But I have looked at both images from other sources. The man lying in the street, unquestionably Michael Brown, was wearing tan shorts and a white shirt. In the street shot Mr Brown’s blue underwear is visible but those are clearly tan shorts and not pants as the tweeter asserted. And presumably the clerk from the convenience store can provide positive identification of who grabbed him and held his face inches away. I guess we’ll see.
