Saul Alinsky Secretly Controls Hillary, Too — NYMag

Nothing in the letters reveals an especially deep ideological imprint. The Free Beacon’s write-up hypes the connection, but fails to mention the closing line of Clinton’s letter — “Hopefully we can have a good argument sometime in the future.” This line captures the mutual respect mixed with acknowledged disagreement that seems to characterize the relationship.

These letters were written more than 40 years ago but that won’t matter one bit to right wing media. Mainstream media will go along for the ride because “balance” or some such nonsense.

The sad thing is that she will be forced to address it. There is no evidence of her holding radical left wing views so I don’t get why something she wrote 40 years ago. A week ago she was being called a neocon. There’s probably more evidence of that than her being some kind of Alinskyite. No matter, Chuck Todd, George Stephanopolous, etc. will be sure to confront her with some wild imaginings from the fevered right wing.

You’re absolutely right.

They go with 40 year old associations and smears because that’s pretty much all they have. I expect to see a lot of 90’s style Clinton-hatin’ going on if she runs— we’ll see retreads of every smear they trotted out about her then for sure.

The idiots are fighting a “Left” that exists only in their heads. The influence for HRC’s generation was coming from a mix of established and new thinkers like Chomsky, the Berrigans, the Kennedys, Dos Passos, Fanon, Angela Davis, Eldridge Cleaver, MLK. Freakn’ Leonard Bernstein had more effect than Alinsky, Ayers and SOROS .
