In Defence of My Imam
On Charles’ most recent article, I noticed a link at the bottom of the update. It was about an Imam that supposedly encouraged Radicalism.
However, there is one small problem with the Dumbest Man on the Internet is promoting. Namely, he is dead wrong. I know this because he is my Imam.
Imam Enchassi is one of the most peaceful men I have met, likely a result of being a survivor of Sabra and Shatila. He has done a lot of work to try and create interfaith trust. He is involved in at least one event a month of that type sometimes more. In addition, he also organized an Anti-ISIS rally just last week, which I attended. In addition, he also has taught religion classes at a local university. I also know he is very cooperative with law enforcement.
But for me, he has also been a massive support. He has helped become a softer, and kinder person. I can sometimes be harsh and unforgiving, but with his help, I have gotten better. Being a convert myself, let me put it this way. If what they said about him was true, I would be a raving nut. Instead, he helped me eventually helped get past the anger I held over the Attacks in Norway 3 years ago.
As living proof of this, I will admit that I am quite angry about Jim Hoft slandering the my Imam. But all I will say is that I hope Hoft can be sued for libelous statements.
