This is not commercial music but it has some interesting features.
The traditional music must be pure folks have to acknowledge Ashley’s technical skill. He plays traditional Cape Breton music with full respect for the the pure traditions and then he does sleepy magie with a beatboxer and brags about going to gay bars when he is on tour. He is one of the technically best Cape Breton musicians.
Many of the folks in the audience here have gone to school with him or partied or jammed with him. When I lived there, my house was was within a few blocks of where this was recorded.
Gaelic language lyrics, traditional music, beatbox .. I am entertained by this.
