So very patriot. Much True American.

Florida? Uh, I’m guessing the many, many transplanted northerners and the growing Latino population wouldn’t be OK with this. But maybe you’d get the panhandle to go along with it….

Call the New Nation “The True Conflagration Of Age And Liver Spot Confederacy Of Simpletons.”

I like the idea of calling it the United Southern States of Reagan…
Yeah, we can have the “USSR” back to hate again!!!

Yawn. I don’t think even that brilliant call to action will sell very many books.

LOL Wut?

So now Reagans fans too young to remember have bought into the exaggerations (even some outright lies) about Reagan’s anti gay administration. The critics scorn became their adoration. Partisan pretzel propaganda politics. Hey say that 3 times fast.

re: #9 Rightwingconspirator

And I raise you a few thousand dead AIDS sufferers due to Reagan ensuring many years’ delay in funding and approving studies for treatments - specifically because the majority of that first wave were gay.
We can all cherry pick one or two episodes of politician’s career to pretend to make a point. Most of us know it’s not a very accurate way of depicting someone.

re: #10 cinesimon

Raise me? Not sure what that means here. I don’t deny any actual policies Reagan had. Bad ones, good ones, awful ones, ironic etc. Or the likely consequences of any of them.

That having been said lies and exaggerations deserve factual push back. Let the reality preside. Not the propaganda. Reagan is one of those figures that draws the false memes, the slogans, the fake quotes. You’d think he was still in office the way all his policies are viewed through todays perspective, without any allowance for the generation of time that has passed. (See Benghazi/Beirut bombing) The rwnj crowd puts him up on a false pedestal the critics readily repeat the bull along with the legit to chip and pull at the mutually artificial edifice.

It’s a very strange phenom to me. From all the angles.

Political Rorschach ink.

what can i do to help???

14 EPR-radar  Oct 23, 2014 3:15:57pm

One wonders how long this former Reagan administration aide has been a Confederate. Perhaps this bit of brain damage goes all the way back to when Reagan was in office.

15 John Q  Oct 23, 2014 10:22:49pm

… and the remaining states will have the problem of fleeing refugees crossing the new southern border….

16 team_fukit  Oct 23, 2014 10:56:53pm

Reagan wasn’t even from the South… maybe “Calhoun” would be a better name
