That cat was rescued from inside the famous California Jewelry mart building on Hill street. Somehow this kitten got all in the ventilation spaces. Donna brought her home 17-18 years ago.

Oh gosh, she reminds me of La Nena, one of the stray cats back in Queens that we used to feed. She was really smart & friendly and a great mom (the male cats didn’t dare mess with her when she had kittens to protect). I miss her.

She is a lovely cat. Hard to believe she’s encroaching on her senior years as she still has muscle, her eyes are clear from cataracts — and as we all know — she’s still got a set a lungs on her …! ESPECIALLY when the witching hour draws that much closer …! ;)
