I predict an immediate course of action this new Congress will take on in 2015- impeachment of Obama. The Tea Party/Republicans previously were content with just talking about impeachment. Now they are in a position to actually do it. It will not go anywhere, but will serve as an example of them “doing something” - (aka fiddling while Rome burns).

The hallmark of this past Congress was their inaction on just about everything. Tying up the President’s hands and taking the country hostage was the Republican’s first order of business and they succeeded …spectacularly. Probably beyond their wildest dreams.

Aided by a relentless right wing media/Fox News/Koch Bros onslaught composed of lie after lie they have introduced a propaganda machine so effective and have spread so much fear amongst the white population it will be used as an example by dictatorships around the world for years (already RT in Russia and a nationalist-Hindu outlet in India are cited as using Fox News as a template).

A national mindset based on Fear is not a country poised to succeed long term in today’s fast moving high technology world. The No Happiness Unless WE tell you it’s OK* brand of politics displayed by the right wing in this country means we are in for a long haul of lies, attacking our own citizens based on them not being the majority, dogmatic anti-Science, religious gobbledygook mandated for public display, gun fethish craziness, and argumentative infantilism and demonstrably false information almost exclusive on TV.

The impeachment of Obama may or may not succeed. But that isn’t the point. The point is to tie up Federal hands with inaction on anything and everything so that the US Government is severely weakened and control falls to each state… and eventually erasing the 20th Century and everything including the Civil Rights Act and all environmental laws/regulations.
