Ah yes, the American dream, get sick lose everything you have and maybe die from not being able to afford proper medical care. Warms the cockles of my heart and makes me want ask him, wtf is wrong with you.

Great news! Let me get hit by a car! This is GOP wisdom and thinking. Ask Scott Walker if he would like to live that American Dream and have NO insurance from this point on. You know, Scott. Like that job you have has benefits. Not all jobs do, Mr. Fucking High And Mighty. He can go to the emergency room when sick. He can go without checkups. He can pray over his sick child because he can’t afford the medicine. He can go to hell. FUCK Scott Walker and every last Piece Of Shit that thinks like him.

10 years ago I was out walking and I fell and broke my ankle. I thought it was only “sprained” and I walked 3/4 mile home on it & wrapped it in an ace bandage. I did not go to the ER because I did not have insurance.

Years later when I finally did get insurance an orthopedist found the old remodeled fracture, but couldn’t really do anything about it by that time and now I am permanently disabled.

“I’d rather find a way, particularly for able-bodied adults without children, I’d like to find a way to get them into the workforce. I think ideologically, that’s a better approach, not just as a conservative, but as an American. Have more people live the American dream if they’re not dependent on the American government.”

And in the meantime??? From what I’ve seen it’s: Screw them and their healthcare needs.

It is the American Dream of Scott Walker’s owners, the Koch Brothers. If Walker is anything, he’s a loyal employee.

There are no words to describe how sick I am of this mindset by Walker and millions of American conservatives. No empathy at all for someone who isn’t like him. What a shocker. Typical right wing fuckwad.

I think a lot of people sympathize with those less fortunate than them. Much of the time this leads people to donate to charity or something, so they can feel like they’re doing something to help.

Sometimes, or all the time in the case of the GOP / glibertarians, this instead leads people to change their worldview so they can freely stop caring about the less fortunate.

re: #10 StephenMeansMe

Ask yourself why any member of the Armed Forces, sent into war, should ever have to rely upon charities and the kindness of strangers to survive after being wounded in body or mind. Ask yourself why a Political Party who fancies themselves Patriots, wear American Flag lapel pins as they fuck those Vets. Ask yourself how “heath care” became a privilege, and tied into where and who for you work. Ask. Elected twice to office, Scott Walker and his like minded slags of humanity feel more emboldened and very full of themselves and ready to fuck you in a New York Minute.

Nite Owl: What’s happened to us? What happened to the American Dream?

The Comedian: What happened to the American Dream? It came true! You’re looking at it.

The GOP health care plan is simple enough:

1) Don’t get sick.

2) If you do get sick, die quickly.

It’s a pity that the Democrats don’t seem inclined to follow this bit of truth-telling from Alan Grayson.

14 Skip Intro  Nov 14, 2014 12:55:03pm

The GOP plan for health care is the same as the GOP plan for jobs.

If you get sick/have a low paying or part time job, go to the emergency room/welfare office and have the other insured/taxpayers pick up the tab.

15 nines09  Nov 14, 2014 1:26:17pm

The GOP Health Plan is as follows; FUCK YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

Scott Fucking Walker - who has NEVER had a non government job since college doesn’t want people dependent on government? Fuck him with a rusty pitchfork as preparation for what he’ll get in hell someday.

It is at times like this when I acutely feel the disadvantages of my atheist world view. Giving up on the idea of Scott Walker spending eternity hip-deep in molten lead is a heavy sacrifice.

My sister and I were raised by our mom, who was a waitress at a barbecue joint. We did not have insurance for most of the time I was growing up. My mom had a friend who was married to an OB/GYN, and when we got sick she took us to Shirley’s house. Shirley’s husband kept samples of antibiotics and medicines at the house (this was in the 70s), and Dan would check us out and “prescribe” samples to us based on what he thought we might have.

My mom went 17 years without going to the doctor, because she put our needs ahead of her own. If there was no money for her to take US to the doctor, there certainly wasn’t any to care for herself.

When I was in college, my mom got a job in a cafeteria at a manufacturing plant, and she had insurance for the first time. She went to the doctor for hemorrhoids that had bothered her for years, and the doctor found out that although she was in her 50s, she had never had a mammorgram. She went in for her first and a mass was found. Fast forward 4 months and she was in the first round of layoffs at her job. She was never able to get insurance again, until Medicare kicked in at 65, 6 years after her diagnosis.

Between 59 and 65, her cancer came back twice. She was forced to utilize sliding scale and free clinics for care — even for chemo. By the time she hit 65 and had actual choices in her care and doctors, it was too late. She was terminal, and died before she reached 66.

This is what having no insurance for a fucking LIFETIME does. This is how it affects more than just the uninsured. This is how it plays out.

The only dignity my mom had in her cancer treatment was when she had insurance. Period.

Retribution. Paybacks. Justice. I like to think I don’t have to either be there or be part of it, but it will happen.

21 Kid A  Nov 14, 2014 3:59:59pm

This isn’t new either. A few months back this was a big talking point on the right from Ted Cruz, Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham on down: “Don’t have health insurance? FUCK YOU! GET A BETTER JOB!!!!” With a straight face. Really. These people and their lack of empathy for their fellow man disgusts me.

22 Kid A  Nov 14, 2014 4:05:37pm

And another thing. 94% of Americans are employed you fucking bastard.

it’s who they are. Vile. They would throw you and your family through a plate glass window and go have a pizza. Turds.

Seriously this is a possible presidential candidate saying “Hey it’s a good thing if you’re uninsured.” Thanks Scotty. Fucker.

26 nines09  Nov 14, 2014 7:35:51pm

Elected once, survived a recall, and re-elected. I guess his brand of American Dream rings true with a majority of the voters who choose to vote in Wisconsin. Says a lot about Wisconsin. Closer to Texas than you thought, eh? The turd has a lot to say and it’s all a pile of bullshit. I reckon bullshit sells well in Wisconsin. Lots of cows and must be a load of steers. Scott “Turd” Walker. Lifetime political hack for hire. Purveyor of dreams. Shallow as spit. Turd.
