There has already been a Page about this article.

That said, I reiterate my opinion that the piece is a partisan hatchet job that reaches conclusions without evidence and can best be considered preaching to a liberal choir.

What the hell are you talking about? You regularly post articles from NRO and guns.com Are those not partisan hatchet jobs?

As for the ACA, say something specific about it. Tell us why it’s partisan to question the SC’s decision to take the case. Tell us what legal issue is so important that it must be addressed now. Except giving you and your co-religionists some reason to cheer millions of people losing healthcare coverage. What a perverse and depraved response to your fellow Americans losing their insurance.

No, not necessarily. Something can be partisan without being a hatchet job. It’s about the content and quality of the work.

I’ll go on to say that the article isn’t about Obamacare itself, but about the Supreme Court’s decision to take a case related to the act. But Greenhouse attacks the conservatives on the court without any evidence as to who voted to grant certiorari and without the court having even heard oral arguments. She presents no hard facts, just scorn and enmity. That’s as good of a definition of ‘partisan hatchet job’ as may be found.

Not buying this at all. The thesis of the article is that there is no apparent legal reason for SCOTUS to grant review in this case, other than partisan animus on the part of at least 4 conservative justices.

Said partisan animus is a matter of public record (prior Obamacare SCOTUS case), and is consistent with the pattern and practice of these sorry excuses for SCOTUS justices (e.g., recent voting rights act decision).

There is immense irony in SCOTUS embarking on a hyper-technical parsing of the language in Obamacare in order to make it “true to Congressional intent” in view of SCOTUS giving no consideration at all to Congressional intent in the VRA case.

There’s no other plausible explanation than the 4 conservative justices voting to grant cert. Her scorn is for a group of right wing ideologues who would kill Obamacare, in the process taking away health insurance for millions.
