It sounds like the Browns were grieving, angry, and desperate for justice. And this a-hole took advantage of them at their most vulnerable. I hope he faces criminal charges. And I hope the Browns are remembered as victims, not co-conspirators.

Fat chance of the later on RR “news” and blogs.

No one did their homework. Imagine that. I could see the Browns being taken advantage of with that entire situation. But the media took how long to expose this jerkoff? And why is he free? The Land Of Bullshit. Home Of The Con. Freedom to be screwed.

Good point. If the public should think of anybody as accomplices in his racket, its these (un)professionals in cable news who gave him undeserved credibility.

I would not be suprised if Parcells was financially compensated by someone associated with the Ferguson PD and/or the St Louis PD before he even contacted MB’s family to offer his services. IMO, someone in a position to do so, needs to follow some money.

Nothing new, actually. All the “news” services parade a never ending stream of “consultant”, “professional”, “experienced” and so on, give them a check, air time and credibility. Even though they are not any of those things in the field they are talking about. It’s no longer “news”. It’s “first”. Trash in, trash out. Just look at the trash that gets exposed here and yet are held in regard elsewhere. Stupefying.

Well that sucks.

Well, at least CNN looked into the schnook and found out he’s a fraud.

Small favors. If I was behind that desk my first question to anything coming out of anyone’s mouth would be; “and who is he and how did we hear of him? Run his profile. Dig up his past. I want a report on him and I want it yesterday.” Nothing more, nothing less. Credibility seems to be lost along with ethics, but “We’re #1!”
Gee. A report…..

After they made him a star.

I don’t think there’s a conspiracy here, big news events like Ferguson tend to become causes, and any cause can become a dirtbag magnet. E.G. Al Qaeda wanting to save the whales comes to mind. It is real embarrassing that he comes from near me in Overland Park KS.

This has been known from the start, I remember reading about it here (also).

In fact, it had been known way “before the start”: stltoday.com

Basically, everybody knew and the right used this fact from the start to discredit the autopsy.

May 2013?

The Browns have nothing to be blamed for. They hired Baden, not Parcells as such, and it was Baden who basically “bestowed” the aura of credibility upon Parcells. The media gave him time because Baden let him be the “expert” during the autopsy presser. The blame lies with Baden.

This yahoo’s involvement won’t change the facts of the case, especially since there were two other autopsies. He’ll become the Stand Down Order of the case.

News to me. If he was exposed before as a fraud, who gave him legs? I guess if disgraced former (fill in the blank) are featured on news “shows”, anything is suspect.

The weight of claimed authority is amazingly effective. That sign language interpreter in South Africa pulled off a long running scam. Frank Abagnale claimed to be an MD and knew nothing, but managed to “consult” with med school students and elicit their knowledge and then give them practice exercising their skill, and not only tricked the patients and staff, but actually steered clear of doing any egregious harm to the patients entrusted to him.

This particular case was a real minefield. I can see how people who smelled a rat would have wanted to just walk wide of the whole situation.
