Bebe Stores Detects Card Security Breach
Women’s retailer Bebe Stores Inc. said it was the victim of a data security attack in November, the latest in a number of breaches at retailers including Target Corp. and Home Depot Inc.
Based on a company investigation, the attack affected cards used from Nov. 8 to Nov. 26 in the U.S., Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. Data accessed may have included names, account numbers, expiration dates and verification codes.

Payments made online or on mobile devices or in international stores weren’t affected, according to Bebe, which hired a security firm to stop the attack. It didn’t disclose how many cards may have been affected.
