The Pope can’t be a wife beater because he’s a virgin and has never been married or had a girlfriend and besides he doesn’t wear underwear unlike Stanley Kowalsi who was Polish and who ever heard of a Polish pope oh shit you’re absolutely right!!!1!!! Richard Dawkins 2016!!!1!!

Oh gee. And I just began to respect him. Well, it’s better to learn the truth earlier than later.

Actually, this seems like a really bad case of taking words out of context.

The full quote from the pope is pretty straightforward and sensible, and doesn’t actually say what this article alleges.

“You go to culture war with the pope you have, not the pope you might want.”

He does say those very words. It’s a quote. He also says it’s wrong to kill (give that boy a medal!), but goes on to say that punching in response to being offended is “natural”. This is exactly the wife beater’s defence. If you are going to flat out deny the content of an article you really should think about at least trying to give some backup to your claim, otherwise it just looks like trolling. Especially with the downdinging and all.

PS Aren’t you the same Shvaughn who went completely mental on me because I once jokingly called conservatives “shits”? Makes me wonder what your original LGF nic was.

Ditto. Joe My God has this too

Pope Francis on Friday warned against an “ideological colonization of the family,” a reference to gay marriage around the world and to a heated debate in the Philippines about a government population control plan. The Pope made his impromptu comments at rally for families in Manila on a day that began with an appeal to the government to tackle corruption and hear the cries of the poor suffering from “scandalous social inequalities” in Asia’s most Catholic country. Addressing an evening rally of families, he spoke of an “ideological colonization that we have to be careful about that is trying to destroy the family”. He said it was coming from “outside” and had to be resisted. While the Pope has said before that marriage must be between a man and a woman, his use of the phrase “ideological colonization” appeared to be an appeal to developing countries not to follow the lead of nations where gay unions are already legal.

PS it’s possible I am being paranoid, but when you see someone who never interacts with you except to attack your pages, it really makes you wonder.
