Not only am I embarrassed to be an American, I’m actually ashamed,” Friess told The Daily Beast.

And I’m sure he’ll catch as much shit for this statement as Michelle Obama did for voicing a similar sentiment.

So he wants to be a Warlord? I’m ashamed he’s called an American.

The Peshmerga are a well-organized and properly disciplined force. They’re real soldiers, not just a bunch of militia.

Another point to note is that the Kurds are Sunni Muslims, not Christians. I’m still skeptical of Friess, but what he’s up to isn’t as bad as it might seem. But the plan for arming the Peshmerga brigade to be used to help retake Mosul has already been decided. Mr. Friess should work to provide non-weapons support such as bedding, hydration (gear like the Camelbak is quite important in Iraq), and medical equipment.

So, he wants to fight Da’esh? I’m all in favour of that.

That is him personally equipping himself and going into the front lines. Which he will never do because like all such people he’s really a candy ass and his idea of ‘fighting’ is having others go off and risk their lives.
