So he pisses himself the moment the Americans start threatening consequences for his statements and now he back peddles. I wonder when he’s going to announce this back home in Israel to the same people days earlier who he promised no Palestinian State…

Probably not, but a growing number of Israelis were complaining on BBC news interviews that they no longer support him because they feel he is creating more violence. Also other political parties have openly stated they will not work with him and he is going to have a hard time creating a coalition. He needs to form a coalition to stay in power.

It is utterly shameless but a large part of Israel’s population are US citizens who have moved there because they have been raised in a country (USA) around christians who tell them they must live in the state of Israel to fulfil prophecy. It’s a not so subtle emotional battering. There are a few small groups who insist (to my delight) that the promised land of the Jewish faith is where every you want it to be and not a specific State.
