Oy! The War on Yoga continues.

Yoga is about as religious as a solstice gathering. Court time/money wasted.

The parents who brought this lawsuit are crazy fanatical Christians, of course, trying to claim their ‘religious freedom’ is being violated.

By yoga. This is how bad it’s getting.

When I first saw this case I argued against the Yoga classes because they were actually sponsored by a Hindu religious foundation, even though I disagreed in general with the religious parents and Ahmanson’s legal outfit. With the R. foundation sponsorship I thought that they could potentially contain religious elements or proselytization.

Since a court has determined that the Yoga classes are secular and sanitized from religious content then I’m satisfied however. Lots of churches do things for local public schools that are goodwill gestures and straight up charity that do not contain religious messaging, which I have no beef with either.

Well, the increase in strength, flexibility and cardio-vascular endurance won’t hurt one’s love life.

Just saying….

Just one look at that website makes me think it was all a scheme to sell her motivational CDs. Well played crazy Christian lady, well played.

As long it is just that, it’s OK. Seems like it was so in this case.

The moment various “energies” and other esoteric concepts are introduced, it’s clear that religion is being pushed.

Good ruling. It’s an exercise.

Isn’t yoga pretty much like Christmas now?

Its become such a cultural ubiquity that its lost whatever religious purposes it may have once had from its parent religion and culture?
