If you love nature, or simply care about the future of our planet, this ought to make you extremely mad. Its bad enough that the GOP is full of climate change deniers, in spite of the overwhelming evidence that its real and man made, they have now given us another reason as to why they shouldn’t be trusted on environmental issues. Republican senators have basically just voted to sell federal off lands to state governments for cash, and in turn let those state governments allow private industry to exploit the land. Our public lands — including National Forests, wildlife refuges and wilderness areas — are arguably our greatest treasure. Well, almost every Republican Senator just voted to sell them to the highest bidder. This is what you can do about it.
