A “few bad apples” at it again, in front of news media no less.

In this case the suspect is a real piece of work who was wanted for identity theft and had a substantial rap sheet. After leading deputies on a 3 hour chase through the high desert country of Apple Valley and Hesperia, he was finally cornered (on a stolen horse) and forced to surrender. Nine deputies began to beat, kick and pummel the man after he complied with demands and was handcuffed. This was all taped from a news helicopter overhead. He was then left on the ground for 45 minutes without medical care before being taken to a hospital where officials have said he is “expected to survive”.
Well done, deputies.
