Windows 7 is flaky on my theater PC, causing app focus to change at random, so I’m really looking forward to this upgrade.

I would have bought another WIn 8.1 license, but it seemed like a waste of cash with 10 coming. I’m sure MS significantly reduced 8.1 sales with this giveaway.

I bought a new laptop couple of months ago that had 8.1 on it. I tried to hold out but my old XP one was literally falling to pieces in addition to some odd OS problems (wouldn’t wake from sleep sometimes). After wrestling with 8.1 for several weeks (with a lot of cursing), I finally got it into a usable state that I’m just about satisified with. I hate the thought of having to do a full re-install of all my software when 10 rolls around. Does anybody know if a 10 install will require that or can it just be slipped in over the covers?

re: #3 sizzzzlerz

I don’t know yet if it will do a direct upgrade with port, or if it’s going to require reinstallation of everything…
