The man arrested this evening in Baltimore is renowned police watchdog Baltimore Spectator:

This is notable because two years ago Spectator live streamed an interaction with a S.W.A.T. team at his house, that was a quasi-armed standoff, and lasted for several hours.

Shooting into a crowd (photography) RT @mdfop34: @BaltoSpectator @justin_fenton @BaltimorePolice what did you do now
— Agitator In Chief (@BaltoSpectator) April 21, 2015
All said, I’m WORRIED for @BaltoSpectator primarily because I’ve seen him harassed firsthand for speaking. That’s it. I speak. You speak.

They’ve deleted all of the footage on @BmoreBloc’s camera. @BaltimorePolice are violating our 1st Amendment rights.
— Agitator In Chief (@BaltoSpectator) April 21, 2015
@catemaher @BaltimorePolice um, I’m a photographer not a protestor. Know the difference and you know a lot.

Um, so like I literally just ran into a burning building and put out a fire. The hell
— Agitator In Chief (@BaltoSpectator) April 21, 2015
And no, I couldn’t breathe. @BmoreBloc and I searched for kids first. A @BaltimorePolice Lt. ran in with us. He helped us put it out

Crowd beginning to get more and more animated. Great amount of tension and anger in the air. Police looking real nervous.

@kbat33 @BaltoSpectator I totally agree too many vets. Why are the police wearing combat gear?

Lt. Thompson. First while arresting me for public photography. Then later after we fight a fire together. #surreal pic.twitter.com/eWzk9zY0Qk

update #4:
Funny thing, my citation says I was detained for “protesting” although it’s clear what I’m doing here is photo journalism & tweeting.
— Agitator In Chief (@BaltoSpectator) April 22, 2015
disclaimer: I was personally involved in that standoff, and spent most of that evening on the phone with the Chief of Police, in an attempt to keep shots from being fired. no shots were fired, and he was not convicted of any crime in the event. I consider him a friend, and fellow police observer.
I will keep this updated as more information comes to light.
