Very proud of my city. The Troy library is one of the best in the entire metro area, pretty much tied with the West Bloomfield library (that resides in an ultra-rich neighborhood).

I so very much love that they managed to coach the debate in terms of something that struck an emotional chord with people … and shamed the Tea Party slime into crawling back under their rocks. Brilliant.

The date on this link is recent, but this story sounds familiar. And I know I’ve seen the video in the link before. This is just rehashed old news, isn’t it? It’s not that I mind, except that the article really should’ve mentioned when this happened, because it wasn’t this year.

The vote happened about 10 months ago. Not too sure why it was reposted but darn if it doesn’t still feel good.

I suppose it gives insights into ways to turn the TP’s own style against them. The same hyperbole they use to galvanize the lunatics can be used to induce an equal and opposite response in reasonable people.
