Figured it was Skarro almost immediately after seeing the mixture of technology.
Clara snogged Jane Austen.
And maker of Twitter trend. And also advisor to UNIT.
Holy shit, she is the Doctor in her own right.
Missy made it.
The man…woman…whatever just will not stay dead!
Story of the Doctor’s life.
re: #10 Targetpractice
Yeah, Missy does that.
Holy shit, lots of Snipers.
Clara has a shit load of escorts.
Missy is screwing with time.
Sisterhood of Karn gave the thing to Missy.
Clara seems to have followed in the tradition of companions in becoming more of a badass with each season.
Missy is being mean.
Clara is commanding them.
He has brought an axe to battle.
And a tank to Rock.
You compounded one mistake with another, Doctor. Nice going.
re: #26 Targetpractice
Oh, he keeps compounding.
The Doctor once asked himself if he had the right to decide if the Daleks should exist, if Davros should die. Apparently he found the answer to that sometime during the Time War.
re: #29 Targetpractice
In season 4’s two-part finale, didn’t the doctor mention trying to save Davros in the first year of the Time War? Something about the nightmare child…
re: #35 Archangelus
This will compound more….
All the way back to the beginning. Moffat, you magnificent bastard!
TARDIS captured.
Missy trying to negotiate her life, and take over the Daleks.
“I’ll take ‘Terrible Negotiation Ideas’ for 1000$, Alex!”
Tardis is destroyed.
And the Doctor goes to kill a child.
Next week on Doctor Who: Wibbley-wobbley x10000 would be my guess…
re: #48 Targetpractice
Voldemort still lives.
A piece of him lives within Moffat. :P
re: #49 Archangelus
Yep.
I also noticed he was wearing two costumes. What if his rage and anger about this causes the Valeyards formation. I have been paying attention to the EU of Doctor Who.
In the last month, 4 Audio Stories have involved the Valeyard, and the 10th Mentions him in the American Comic Crossover. Also, notice his glowing hand.
I think the main enemy of this season will be himself.
Also, thanks Doctor for the romantic advice.
When I find my lady, I will sing Pretty Woman to her. :)
re: #54 sagehen
A puppy commanding snipers.
Clara has gotten really badass. I like it. I like a woman with power and force of will.
Doctor Who is the Top Trending thing on Twitter for the US.
Also, I wonder if Peter was actually playing the guitar. He did use to be in a band once, with Craig Ferguson.
Now he should be the next companion.
re: #56 The War TARDIS
Based on an interview I read with Capaldi discussing DW and the new season, as well as his really acurate instrument hand placement during that scene, i’m fairly certain that’s actually him playing it.
re: #57 Archangelus
Which is really, really awesome.
Was that really Peter Capaldi playing rock guitar in the opening episode of the new series of Doctor Who? You bet your axe it was!
Yes, when the Twelfth Doctor rode a 20th-century tank into a 12th-century hall to challenge a Norman tribesman to an “axe battle” it was indeed Capaldi calling the tune (his own take on the Doctor Who theme, in case you missed it).
It was him, too, serenading Michelle Gomez’s Missy and Jenna Coleman’s Clara with Pretty Woman later in the scene.
re: #62 Archangelus
The Rock Doctor.
Also, fangirls and fanboys are excited about the Doctor serenading Clara with “Pretty Woman.”
So, these two episodes are basically a Hitler Paradox test?
Methinks Missy protests too much about her and the Doctor just being friends…
And because I have too much spare time, I think this would be the perfect song for a Doctor/Master fanvid: Two Strong Hearts
re: #64 KGxvi
Yep. To be honest, I see where he is coming from. There are people like Abdulhamid II who functionally killed the Ottoman Empire, and Ibn Saud and Wahhab who have brought a dark age on the Muslim World. I wish their lives could be undone.
re: #65 Kruk
True, but it could also be that the Master simply can’t feel that way. Would like to point out the way the Doctor reacted to Clara (of many faces and echoes) was adorable. Between “Pretty Woman,” and his statement afterwards, it was full of awww.
Clara: How did you know I was here? Did you see me?
Doctor:When do I not see you?
Clara:What, one face in all of that crowd?
Doctor:There was a crowd, too?
re: #66 The War TARDIS
The Hitler Paradox is interesting - and really probably applies to more people in history than Hitler. Think of these people as fixed points in time - you can’t kill them early because it would affect too much history. And in this case, it’s very complicated because the Doctor’s entire timeline is tied to Davros and the Daleks.
Thank you for the main thread tumblr link, PLL. Appreciate it.
