Intolerance in Irving: Texas Islamic Center Stalked by Armed Group
Imagine heading out one morning to attend services at your house of worship or a meeting of a local humanist or freethought group.
Imagine arriving at the facility only to find a band of people – many of them wearing masks and all of them carrying assault rifles, pistols and other weapons – marching in front of the building.
Imagine them following you and others (including parents with children) as you enter the structure. Imagine learning later that they have released a list of members of your house of worship or non-theist group to their sympathizers and the public because they don’t like what you’re doing and believe, with zero evidence, that you’re up to no good.
Muslims in Irving, Texas, don’t have to imagine any of this. They are living it right now.
