Wouldn’t be the first time a regime was overthrown because of bad economics. Might be the first time that an overtly religious regime was overthrown (though, I’m sure there are some examples), but history is replete with democracies and dictatorships being overthrown because of bad economies.

Don’t bother trying to engage these guys (there’s also another one that only posts about Iran and leaves, but I can’t recall his nic at the moment). They never contribute anything except propaganda, and they never make themselves available for questions or discussions, hence they’re basically personae non gratae around here and only receive down-dings in order to knock their articles off the “Recent Pages” list.

FWIW, they also seem to be fanboys of the MEK, a group with a long and shady history. It was was founded in 1965 and has been anti pretty much everyone (including the U.S.) at one time or another.

Here’s are pejmanamiri’s previous pages.
