Take a Peek at the Tip of Putin’s Corruption Iceberg
This documentary is the result of a huge investigation by one of the leaders of the Russian opposition Alexey Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Foundation. It has now been translated into English and you can take a look at a “representative sample” of how corruption functions at the highest levels of power in Russia.
Theft, murder, racketeering - all connected to the Russian General Prosecutor Chaika and his highly “successful” sons. And yet… it’s only a small, almost insignificant part of what’s been going on in Russia under Putin, who had been supposed to clean up the mess of the 90s and provide “stability”, law & order.
A thousand more such documentaries could be made about officials, politicians, oligarchs that keep him in power.
The facts presented in the film are thoroughly documented at chaika.navalny.com
PS: Oh, and needless to say, the “official” response has been underwhelming. “Nothing to see here, move along”. “Americans did it”. I mean, of course these guys won’t start putting themselves in jails, will they?
