Trump on Retweeting White Supremacists: “That I Know Nothing About”
Tapper: There’s been concern, as you know, among Republican Party leaders in Washington about…can you win a general election. Let’s talk about demographics for a second. If the next Republican nominee wins the same share of the white vote that Mitt Romney did in 2012 - that was 59% - that nominee would need to win 30% of the non-white vote (in order to win). Now with all due respect sir, a lot of Republican leaders in DC struggle to envision you accomplishing this, especially since there are white supremacist groups and individuals who support you, some of whom you’ve even retweeted.
Trump: Well that I know nothing about. I mean…I don’t know about retweeting. I mean you retweet somebody and (audio dropout). I know nothing about these groups that are supporting me.
Really? The fact that one of these people you’ve retweeted has a Twitter handle called “WhiteGenocideTM,” whose name is listed as “Donald Trumpovitz,” whose profile pic is a drawing of a guy thumbing his nose with “The Man Who Wanted to be Hitler” written across the top, whose location is “Jewmerica,” who also has a link to a holocaust denial documentary entitled “The Greatest Story Never Told,” and whose cover photo is completely black with “GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY COUNTRY” written in red stenciled letters across it doesn’t tweek your bullshit meter just a little bit?
Color me skeptical.
