Two Right Wing Extremists Lose Primaries
My opinion is that people who subscribe to paranoid conspiracy theories propagated by the gun marketing lobby are dangerous lunatics. If civilization crumbled, these persons would be the very sorts of people you would have to watch out for. You would not want them assuming that they are there to protect you because they are much more dangerous to our civilization and values than any other threat.
In addition to the presidential primary in Washington, DC, Tuesday also had congressional primaries in other states, including Virginia and Nevada. And two of the more extreme voices in the Republican party lost their primaries, including Michele Fiore in Nevada.
You may remember Fiore as the militia-loving state legislator who supported the Bundys in all of their ridiculous actions and who thinks that cancer is cured by baking soda. She was trying to run for the U.S. House and lost:
Colorful Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore (R), who is known for her fervent advocacy for gun rights and distrust of federal government agencies, lost her bid to join the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday.
Fiore came in a distant third place with 18 percent of the vote in the state’s 3rd Congressional district.
