Trump 2016 Campaign Strategy: Blunt Bigotry
If anyone thinks that Trump is a friend of Jews or Israel, this should put it to rest once and for all. He’s thrown his lot in with the bigot brigade and he can’t be trusted.
Today, Trump posted the following Tweet, which was deleted after a short time online.
“Hey, how can we reduce these comparisons to Nazis?”
“Literally label Clinton with a 6-pointed star?”
“works for me” pic.twitter.com/8N6OHXDNhr
It was replaced by a similar tweet. The two side by side:
No one should trust him. Not minorities. Not even the angry white guys who have formed the core of the GOP for decades. No one.
The only thing he seems to be consistent on is bigotry and hate. Xenophobia and nativism.
Strip away everything, and that’s all Trump has - the bigotry and hate.
Thanks GOP for 40 years of indoctrinating people to buy into this.
Thanks Fox News for spreading the know-nothing economic and social policies of a party whose entire identity is tied to rolling back equal rights and protections for others.
Trump’s bigotry and hate is everywhere. It’s behind all the tweets and his “policies.” From the Muslim ban to building a war, Trump identifies with exclusionary tactics and demonizing those that aren’t angry white guys (and all the demographics relating to his polling shows that his core constituency is the angry white guy).
It’s little wonder then that white supremacists and the KKK are both experiencing a surge in visibility online. They see how Trump has mainstreamed their bigoted positions, and have become emboldened as a result.
This cannot be allowed to stand.
Evil spreads when good people do nothing.
So, what can we do? Vote. Make sure that Trump and the GOP do not have a chance to spread their noxious agenda.
