Ex-KKK Leader David Duke Announces Senate Run for La. Seat
Something is drawing the roaches in from under the rocks, what do you think that could be?
BATON ROUGE — Former Ku Klux Klan wizard David Duke planned to emerge from a 17-year political hiatus here Friday to qualify for the U.S. Senate race in a state already roiling with racial tension.
Duke, a Republican who served one term in the Louisiana House, hasn’t run for office since 1999. He is running to fill the seat that will be vacated by Republican Sen. David Vitter.
“I’m proud to announce my candidacy for the United States Senate,” Duke said in a video. “I believe in equal rights for all and respect for all Americans. However, what makes me different is I also demand respect for the rights and heritage of European Americans.”
